University of Chicago Medicine - Peck First Floor Neurobiology Space Renovation

MEPIS was commissioned for the renovation of existing laboratory and offices spaces in the N corridor on the first floor of the Peck Pavilion to accommodate the needs of three faculty researchers who were relocated from the Knapp Center. The first-floor areas within the scope of work consisted of office spaces, open laboratories, specialty rooms, and associated corridors. Most of the existing site utilities were intended to be reused or replaced one-for-one. MEPIS' work included new power outlets, replacement of lighting, new sink and lab gas connections, replacement of cold room compressors, and new fume hoods. Additionally, MEP/FP modifications were designed after evaluating existing systems for capacity and ability to service new work room configuration.
