MEPIS was commissioned for the 35,000 GSF new construction of a mixed-use building with amenities including a parking lot and trash enclosure. The building was intended to have communal amenities and commercial spaces on the ground level (core-and-shell only for the retail spaces), and 24 residential units (studio through 2-bedroom apartments) on the upper levels. A 2000 SF community room with terrace is intended to be built on the roof, as well. MEPIS provided full MEP/FP, Telecom, and Security design from Schematic Design through Construction Administration. This project was designed to meet Chicago’s Sustainable Development Standards.
