Chicago Park District - Blackhawk Park Field House

MEPIS was commissioned for the restoration of the Blackhawk Park Field House, a 6.88-acre community park located in the Belmont-Cragin Community Area. The park field house and swimming pool building project consisted of replacing the original plumbing fixtures to the restrooms, new drinking fountains, and accessibility upgrades. The Electrical scope of work included modifications to the existing branch power and circuiting, modifications to lighting fixtures, modify/add exhaust systems for the gymnasium, toilet rooms and attics. The Mechanical scope of work included the removal of the existing window AC units and replaced with a new VRF system to include the second-floor auditorium in the east building, added ventilation in the attic and the addition of a platform lift, a new unisex toilet/shower room adjacent to pool, exterior egress doorway modifications. An initial assessment was provided to the address the scope of the plumbing, mechanical, and electrical work required for the upgrades.
